  1. Ecosystem

Orb Coin

$ORB is the native asset of the Orbion blockchain, acting as the foundational utility, coordination, and incentive layer across the entire network. Its design follows the principle of economic neutrality โ€” serving as gas, security, governance power, and value bridge, all without rent-seeking inflation.

$ORB is not a currency โ€” it is infrastructure.

โš™๏ธ Core Utilities

1. ๐Ÿงพ Transaction Fees

All on-chain activity โ€” from simple transfers to smart contract executions โ€” is paid in $ORB. This includes:

  • Gas fees for EVM operations

  • Contract deployments

  • Governance calls

  • Bridge requests

โšก Dynamic fee model based on EIP-1559 with optional tip and partial burn.

2. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Staking & Validator Bonding

$ORB is the backbone of Orbion's delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) model.

  • Validators must bond $ORB to join the active set

  • Delegators stake $ORB to earn block rewards

  • Misbehaving actors are penalized (slashing) in $ORB

  • Higher stake = higher consensus weight

Staking is both a right and a risk. $ORB aligns incentives with protocol security.

3. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Governance & DAO Voting

$ORB is the only token used for on-chain governance actions:

  • Submitting proposals

  • Voting on upgrades

  • Approving treasury allocations

  • Electing strategic protocol directions

Voting power is proportional to staked $ORB. The protocol belongs to its contributors.

4. โ™ป๏ธ Liquidity Pairing & AMM Fuel

$ORB is the default base asset in Orbion Finance:

  • Paired in DEX liquidity pools (e.g. ORB/USDT, ORB/ETH)

  • Used to incentivize liquidity mining

  • Required for token listing in native DEX

By concentrating liquidity around ORB, Orbion becomes capital-efficient.

5. ๐Ÿ”— Bridge Collateral

$ORB will serve as collateral and relay gas in future cross-chain bridge operations:

  • Native bridge fees paid in $ORB

  • Wrapped $ORB (wORB) for bridged assets

  • ORB staking required to run bridge relayers (planned)

This allows Orbion to scale horizontally while preserving economic anchoring.

๐Ÿ”’ Supply Constraints

  • Fixed initial supply: 100,000,000 ORB

  • No inflation without governance approval

  • Portion of gas is burned โ†’ deflationary under high activity

  • Locked allocations transparently managed via smart contracts

๐Ÿง  Design Philosophy

$ORB is designed for utility first, speculation second. It is:

  • Spendable

  • Stakeable

  • Slashable

  • Governable

  • Swappable

  • Verifiable

Every function on Orbion requires $ORB โ€” not because of tokenomics, but because of protocol logic.
